Job Description

The Arts & Sciences Service Center is looking for a Fiscal & Grant/Senior Fiscal & Grant Administrator who will work as part of a customer-focused dynamic team providing research support to our faculty members. The Morrissey College Service Center supports over 500 faculty members and 90 Principal Investigators (PIs) across 22 academic departments.

The (Senior) Fiscal & Grant Administrator will be responsible for providing post-award support to a diverse population of PIs as well as providing pre-award support as needed. This position will be assigned a group of faculty members with active research labs that submit complicated proposals and require post-award support with an in-depth understanding of the regulations governing their spending. This role includes providing support of both internally and externally-funded research projects.

This position will:
Be responsible for the fiscal management of grants and contracts in accordance with government regulations, sponsor requirements, and University policies and procedures.
Work with faculty to develop proposals and manage the submission process as needed.
Maintain data on applications and awards.
Work with departments in both a consultative and supporting role to develop systems and procedures to meet current and projected needs.
Serve as a primary liaison between faculty and the Office for Sponsored Programs.
Assist with hiring and extension of research staff (Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows, Research Technicians, and Graduate Students, Etc.).
Develop strategies for outreach to faculty for education and strategic support.
This position will also be involved with multi-disciplinary teams to review the research process, acting as a resource to other research staff, and joining the A&S research leadership in advocating for support for research.  

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
Senior Fiscal and Grant Administrator hiring range: $65,760 - $82,200
Fiscal and Grant Administrator hiring range: $59,600 - $74,500
Fiscal and Grant Administrator hiring range: $51,360 - $64,200



Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based, deadline-oriented environment.
Must be self-driven and proactive in guiding and providing services to faculty and departments, experience in a customer service environment essential.
Intermediate Level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, tables, charts, and pivot tables).
Academic experience is preferred.
