Job Description

HVAC -Instrumentation Mechanic Split, Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm


Under the direct supervision of the Shop Foreman, or other designated personnel, performs skilled journeyman level work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical controls for refrigeration, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, and the College's Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS).



Must be High School graduate. Must have a minimum of five years recent, full time experience working for a licensed Contractor, or maintenance organization installing, repairing, testing, calibrating pneumatic and electrical control systems. Must be able to read and understand plans, blueprints and schematics related to HVAC and refrigeration systems. Must have at least Two years experience in energy management and building automation systems and programming. Direct Digital Control (DDC) troubleshooting and repair skills required. Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Preferred:

Demonstrated ability to work independently, and ability to work from written or verbal instructions. Skilled in the use of equipment and tools used in the trade. Proficient knowledge and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment associated with control systems. Massachusetts Journeyman Electric license preferred.
