Job Description

I. SUMMARY
Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for establishing the sales strategies and implementing sales and retention skills for the ticket sales department. Other responsibilities include hiring, training, and overseeing the management process for all Sales & Service Account Managers. Position reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Affairs, and participates in special projects/project team(s) as assigned, to support department objectives. 

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Hires, trains, and establishes the management process of Sales & Service Reps

·         Conducts weekly sales meetings, both department and individually, to make sure all Account Managers are being held accountable and pacing towards their individual goals

·         Provides superior customer service for all current and new season ticket holders

·         Actively prospects and researches new sales leads and establishes qualified leads

·         Understands and uses various tools within the organization such as Paciolan, and CRM

·         Achieves and exceeds a yearly team sales goal set by the Senior Associate AD, External Affairs

·         Assists in the creative concepts of season ticket sales materials, including brochures, flyers, and all other support materials

·         Creative thinking for the next big idea to assist the organization in achieving sales goals

·         Conducts phone calls and face-to-face appointments in an effort to move the sales process along

·         Tactfully handles and resolves team and season ticket holder issues and follows up appropriately

III. QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. A. Education and/or Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree required; 
•    2-4 years of sales experience working in ticket sales

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 
•    Must possess knowledge of Paciolan database ticketing system and CRM;
•    Must have proficient experience with Microsoft Office and related software skills;
•    Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships;
•    Must have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence; 
•    Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information;
•    Must have truly outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
•    Must possess good decision-making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness;
•    Must have an interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job;
•    Must be self-directed and able to work independently;
•    Must be flexible & reliable team player, both within own department and within the University as a whole;
•    Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills; 
•    Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives;
•    Must be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption;
•    Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made;
•    Must have some proficiency in ticketing systems; managing ticket inventory, as well as creating and manipulating prices.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

A.    Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on rare occasions (less than 5%) trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
        
B.    Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

C.    Work Environment
The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend all Boston College ticketed sporting events
