A Resident Director at Boston College is a full-time, live-in professional staff member responsible for the operation of one or more residence halls, housing between 250-900 residents. The Resident Director supervises a staff of 8-20 undergraduate and graduate Resident Assistants and creates a healthy living/learning environment through creative programming, counseling, facility management, policy implementation, and central office duties. The Resident Director maintains extensive student and staff contact through weekly staff meetings, hall committees, advisement of the hall government, judicial hearings, programming, personal counseling, crisis intervention, and regular office hours.
Hiring Salary: $45,000
*Master's degree in Higher Education.
*Candidates must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal, and proven hall programming skills.
*The Resident Director receives a competitive salary, furnished apartment, academic year meals through a partial board/partial cash system and a summer meal allocation.
*Counseling or related discipline.
