The (Sr.) Digital Graphic Designer reports to the Associate Director of Creative Content and is responsible for the design of cross-platform digital collateral including websites, email templates, interactive tools, and other media including print work. S/he has expert, contemporary design skills, deep experience that crosses over into UX, and the kind of enthusiasm that makes researching and introducing new techniques and best practices within the design discipline part of their DNA.
Along with top-tier digital graphic design skills, s/he is an outstanding communicator, able to explain complex techniques and processes that is easily understood by colleagues and clients. Most importantly, s/he embraces a highly collaborative creative process and is able to accept feedback and input from fellow professionals and incorporate into the work bringing further value to the product. This position is for an individual who wishes to excel and lead by example. This future candidate has the desire to make an impact on the future identity of the Boston College image and message.

• Outstanding, referenceable creative and technical skills and experience
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Knowledge of best practices related to simple, effective design for web, email, social media, and interactive tools
• Proven skills creating wireframes and PhotoShop prototypes for developers. Balsamiq experience is preferred.
• Intimate knowledge of the complete digital development process from business requirements to post-launch analysis
• Top-tier skills in Adobe Suite products, specifically PhotoShop, Illustrator, Adobe Experience Manager, and WordPress.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in fine arts, graphic design, marketing, or related field. Entry level requires at least one year of experience as a graphic/web designer. Senior level requires at least five years as a graphic/web designer. Must be a team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing higher education. An appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values of Boston College is critical.
