Job Description

The Advancement, Facilities and Document Management Application Services team is comprised of five technical positions.  The team supports the departmental applications for University Advancement and Facilities Management departments as well as the enterprise-wide Document Management application for the University’s finance, human resource and advancement functions.  The team is responsible for upgrading and maintaining such diverse applications as Online Giving, Document Management, Building Information Management, Work Order Management, Graphic Information Systems, Building Operations, Mailroom systems and forty other major systems, as well as over fifty minor applications.

Experienced Blackbaud CRM developer with Blackbaud specific technology stack (.NET and SQL Server) expertise.   This position will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of application customizations, working primarily with BlackBaud CRM, BBIS, Blackbaud Data Warehouse. This position will create solutions to help our clients fill workflow gaps using BBCRM SDK for custom front end and back end development.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient Blackbaud CRM developer and should have experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting web applications.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline. Minimum of five years of technical experience to include applications development and integration principles and concepts.

Previous experience leading technical teams.

Related experience to include the design, development, implementation and administration of software related to Blackbaud CRM.

Must be available to provide off-hours support.

Design and develop customizations using,, C#, javascript, XML and SQL Server.

Working experience using Microsoft BI software (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI).

Strong MS SQL knowledge, including advanced ability to write SQL and T-SQL scripts, stored procedures and functions. 

Experience with writing or managing ETL scripts. 

Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with Higher Education technology a plus. 

Experience with and understanding of Blackbaud CRM SDK.

Experience supporting/customizing vended software (Blackbaud CRM).

Experience with a variety of data sources and input/output formats (BlackBaud CRM, Blackbaud DataWarehouse).

Proficiency with .NET programming, HTML, XML, JavaScript,, C#.

Ability to proactively recognize needs, balance multiple projects, manage daily work-load, and prioritize tasks.

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
